Nigeria : NHRC Records 267,787 Rights Complaints in April, Raises Alarm Over Killings, Abductions

[Leadership] The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has disclosed that it recorded 267,787 human rights complaints across Nigeria in April 2026, raising fresh concerns over rising insecurity, abuse of authority, gender-based violence, and shrinking civic space in the country.
